NBA Picks and Parlay of the Weekend

There’s a showdown between Western Conference and Eastern Conference powers Saturday night on NBA TV when the Dallas Mavericks take on the Milwaukee Bucks. We’ve looked at the  top Michigan sportsbooks and come up with a super  DraftKings Sportsbook parlay for you involving Mavs star Luka Doncic and plenty of points.

Dallas Mavericks at Milwaukee Bucks Best Bet

Mavericks +2.5 (110) at DraftKings

These are two of the best teams in the NBA with stars all over. The Mavericks are led by four-team All-NBA performer Luka Doncic and added Kyrie Irving last year. Irving didn’t play in the Mavs win Wednesday night over the Wizards (to be honest, they knew they didn’t need him), but he may be good to go after a few days off.

Milwaukee ripped Charlotte Friday night 130-99. They were able to get their starters out early and rest them for this one. Giannis Antekokounmpo is a seven-time All-Star and the Bucks have paired him with Damian Lillard to make one of the best 1-2 combos in the NBA.

Dallas is 7-5 against the spread, while the Bucks are 3-8-1 against the board. Even if Kyrie doesn’t play, I still like the Mavericks with the points. Tim Hardaway Jr. filled in for Irving the other night and all he did was score 31 points.

For part one of our parlay, take the Mavericks. They are better rested and even if they don’t win straight up, the extra points are good to have in your pocket.

Dallas at Milwaukee over/under 242.5 points

Mavericks at Bucks Over 242.5 (-110) at DraftKings

All right, let’s be real, this is a lot of points, but I still like the over as the play. 10 Dallas games (out of 12) have hit the over, and seven of the Bucks 12 games have also gone up.

You know what the NBA is like these days, lots of offense for the first three quarters and then the teams clamp down on defense in the fourth. This one could be 100-100 going into the fourth quarter, giving both teams plenty of room to hit the over.

Dallas leads the NBA in threes and is second scoring 123.4 points a game. Milwaukee has won three in a row and has scored 130,128 and 118 in their last three games. Strangely, at home, the Bucks score a little less than they do on the road.

Maybe I’m falling for an obvious trap (242.5 is a lot of points), but these are two teams who love to score and share the basketball, so I am going with the over. You just know one of the stars, either Giannis, or Luka or Kyrie is going for 40 points or more Saturday night.

Take the over 242.5 total on Mavs at Bucks.

Luka Doncic over/under 29.5 points

Doncic over 29.5 points (-110) at DraftKings

The Mavs star big man is coming off a 26 point, 10 assist performance against the Wizards, which is actually lower than his season averages. Doncic is putting up almost 31 points a night, and to be honest, there’s no one on the Bucks who can guard him.

Honestly though, there aren’t many people on the planet who can guard Doncic.

Last year against the Bucks – in two losses – Doncic had 27 and 33 points, so this is a good match-up for him. He’s shown he can score a lot against Milwaukee, and if we’re going to go with a high-scoring, fun offensive game, might as well ride Doncic on the road. He is one of the top 10 players in the NBA.

Take the over 29.5 points scored by Luka Doncic.
