Play’n GO Makes Inaugural Launch in Michigan, Partners with BetMGM

Just in time for the festivities, Play’n GO, one of the fastest growing slot development companies has made its debut into the Michigan markets. It recently announced that it is teaming up with BetMGM casino to exclusively deliver its gaming catalog to players in the Wolverine State.

Play’n GO has had a great year, so far. But that has only gotten better after an announcement of the company joining forces with another industry leader, BetMGM Casino Michigan went round.

The Sweden-based slot developer which had, before now, focused on its Asian and European markets has now set its sights on America. It launched its reputable catalog of games in Michigan with an exclusive partnership with BetMGM.

This deal means players within the state lines can access the developer’s premium collection of online slots from the stables of BetMGM casino. Without a doubt, this is good news for all involved, as Play’n GO boasts one of the finest selections of slots globally and can pull viable financials on the business side of things.

Commenting on the development in Michigan, the COO of Play'n GO, Magnus Olsen, had this to say.

With festivities also starting in full swing, players can take advantage of the diverse portfolio of Christmas-themed slots like the classic Xmas Joker. Slots like Rich Wilde and Book of Dead, Crystal Sun and Moon Princess are also set to feature at BetMGM casinos.

Play’n GO is similarly known for its prolific approach to gaming releases. It expects to have added 50 slots to its portfolio by the end of 2022, all of which will be available to Michigan players as soon as they are released.

As recently as June 2022, Play’n GO had no products in any US market. Fast forward to December 2022 and it already has its collection of games in three states. At the beginning of the year, the slot developer announced its intent to move into newer jurisdictions and offer its products to a wider audience.

Its first attempt at the United States came in July 2022 when it received an internet gaming supplier license in Michigan. After the license approval, Play'n GO's CEO confirmed the company's intention of a North American expansion in a press statement.

“We started by designing casino games specifically for mobile before the smartphone even existed, and now are breaking into America as the leading supplier to more than 25 regulated markets globally which is such a credit to everyone at Play’n Go. We believe we are uniquely positioned to succeed in the US,” Johan Törnqvist remarked after describing the Michigan license  as a landmark moment.

However, the developer would not proceed with Michigan online casinos as soon as it expected. Instead it focused on the Global Gaming Expo held in Las Vegas in October 2022, where it was a major participant. Soon afterwards, it announced its first casino partnership, also with BetMGM, in a deal that brought the supplier's games into New Jersey.

Play'n GO's foray into Michigan marks its second state-wide presence in the US, and only its third market in North America. It had previously acquired an AGCO license to supply its games to Ontario. 

The giant strides achieved this year could well take Play’n GO from fast rising rookie status and position it as an industry leader in the coming years.
