In September, the Michigan Gaming Control Board granted Playzido a B2B supplier license which would allow the developer to partner with casino operators in the state. Thanks to this license, Michigan online casinos can tap into contemporary gaming content on Playzido’s proprietary remote gaming server platform and studios that could not be accessed prior to now.
It’s interesting to note that Playzido is a subsidiary of Light & Wonder, a Vegas-based gambling service provider. Formerly known as Scientific Games, Light & Wonder acquired Playzido in 2022 as part of an attempt to expand its gaming offering to American casinos. Light & Wonder had previously been licensed by the Michigan Gaming Control Board. But now, with the introduction of Playzido, its partner casinos in the Wolverine State would have access to an even more diverse collection.
“This new license for Playzido in Michigan is a significant moment for us in terms of creation and delivering content that truly appeals to players in the state,” Head of US Commercial iGaming at Light & Wonder, Dan Jackel mentioned in a press release.
